Infinity Ward Is At It Again…
So, I seriously thought I had heard the worst of Infinity Ward bashing through out the last week, all the controversy, the fans boycotting the game and austrailia seriously looking to ban it from the shelves, I didn’t think anything else could go wrong…unfortunatly…
Now a bit of the gay community is upset that Infinity Ward would use the acronym “Fight Against Grenade Spam” or “Fags” for short.
Personally I believe this joke was already used in the cult classic “Team America” ala the “Film Actors Guild”. I don’t remember them getting so much flack over it, but I think people understood whose the audience was for that show. But this is Modern Warfare 2 and it seems IW kind of sunk to their lowest common denominator, the mic kiddies who scream gay and faggot over the headsets.
I don’t think it was TOO over the top personally, its a part of gaming culture the use of slurs in otherwise normal situations would be base or coarse, it would be in bad taste but its pretty commonly accepted that in gaming culture demoralizing the enemy is part of the game.
So common F.a.g.s. Grow a pair…
